I created this article in place of a redirect after being puzzled by the term. For me being a non-native English speaker, the term "fast ice" sounded funny, so it attracted my attention to read (and to write) about it. By the way, at that time I found out there does exist ice which is fast in the sense of fast-moving, but I forgot to do something with this finding. - Altenmann >t19:42, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
